2017 Show Another Success
The annual All Island Art Show took place again at the MVCMA Campgrounds in Oak Bluffs on Monday, August 7, 2017. The weather held through the day resulting in another spectacular event. Over 60 artists showed their works around the Tabernacle including works in various painting media, collage, mixed media, drawing, photography and sculpture. It was a festive time with many visitors throughout the day enjoying the fabulous artwork displayed around the Tabernacle and for sale at the many portfolios around the periphery.
The artwork displayed around the Tabernacle was judged by a distinguished group of Island artists (see judges page). Awards were presented foe each of the media categories along with many special awards including awards donated by local organizations/galleries and Vineyard Treasures awards dedicated to Island artists, past and present that have influenced Island art.
The Best in Show Award was won by Warren Gaines for his pastel “Menemsha Reflections” (below). Warren is no stranger to the Show.
